there is something about these two girls that causes me to change each time i see them.. change for the better that is.. i can't exactly pinpoint why that is, but i have a few ideas.. these girls know how to love.. they give love freely and expect nothing in return.. perhaps it's all the laughing and the smiles that can cheer me up in an instant.. or maybe even just being around their sweet spirits.. i'm sure that plays a big part.. just a simple bedtime routine tonight was enough to put me into tears the whole way home.. it happens each and every time i get to be a part of their bedtime.. i'm pretty sure there is nothing sweeter than laying with your niece while listening to her mom sing her primary songs as she peacefully falls asleep.. nothing is sweeter than her turning her head to give you a big kiss and then to let you know that she needs your hand to help her feel safe.. nothing is sweeter than knowing that right at that exact moment, you would not wish to be anywhere else than right there at that time.. nothing is sweeter than my nieces.. i've said it before and i will say it again, they make me a better person.. they make me strong.. they show me what love is.. they are the perfect teacher.. i love them and i am always thankful for the time i get to spend with them.. such perfect love they share freely!
