What do I believe? More important, do I believe? Is there really a God, and, if so, what is He like? Could I come to know Him? Would He answer my prayers? Could I have faith like others do?
I read Finding my Faith by Joshua. J. Perkey.... Sometimes I find myself afraid of the changes that would be required to have a more perfect faith.... I get too comfortable in my current ways, and I am afraid of the unknown.... I have been known to put a brick wall around my heart to protect it, and unfortunately, that also prohibits the spirit being able to let me know the things my Heavenly Father would like me to know.... I think as Latter Day Saints, we often have a false understanding of what really is required of us by our Heavenly Father.... He doesn't require much, but that that is required, must be followed to a certainty.... I think we are the ones that hold ourselves back and don't allow ourselves to have the faith that is needed to live more peacefully in this life.... How interesting it is to look at things from a non-member or recently converted member's view.... How lucky we really are....
